Easter romance?

So, what happened in Henderson today? Well, it was Easter Sunday, and on the way back from Mass, Nora and I looked up at the brilliant blue sky to see this:

By the time I'd retrieved the camera, the characters had faded a bit, but you should still be able to tell that it said "H (heart) J" at one time. Then another image appeared:

I actually held the camera upside-down (rather than taking the time to invert the image) so you could clearly see the smiley face added to the composition.

So ... skywriting? Seriously? I thought that went out with penny candy and the Charleston. Still, it was a nice sentiment, and it went well with our Easter egg hunt.

Deja view! Thorne Junior and I were watching the same skywriting as it happened, all from the driveway of our Summerlin rental house. He was on my shoulders, just waiting for the final swoop of the smiley face...

(BTW, on a tangent: We found both Leinie's Honey Weiss and Sunset Wheat at the Albertson's nearest the rental. It must be national now. Closest landmark was the Red Rock...) ft

Hey man, sorry I didn't call. Saturday was spent recalibrating our internal thermostats (we were a block from home on Friday night when Nora announced that she wanted to go play in the snow -- some transitions were slower than others). Plus Nora had soccer practice and a birthday party, so we were all pretty wiped out by late afternoon.

Hope you had fun -- and how cool that you saw the same skywriting? That's a great coincidence. Thanks for the tip on Leine's -- it's also available at the Lee's Discount Liquor Emporium over here in Green Valley. If only they could discover Schell's ...
