The early lines

NFC semifinals:
Seattle +9 at Green Bay, total 40.5
New York Giants +7.5 at Dallas, total 47

AFC semifinals:
Jacksonville +11.5 at New England, total 48.5
San Diego +9 at Indianapolis, total 46.5

I don't remember a semifinal round with more potential for great matchups, especially in the AFC (although the Holmgren-Favre angle remains relevant in Cheeseland). These lines all look huge, and my gut tells me to take all of the dogs except maybe the Giants, though the Cowboys have looked pretty mortal of late.

I love all of these games. Just try to pry me off the couch next weekend. Go ahead -- I dare you.

The GB line is too high, although I think GB will win rather easily. Six to seven points is what I thought it would be.

Did the regular season go fruitless for your parlays? Are you throwing good money after bad money this postseason???

Yeah, I took it on the chin with the five-teamers this year. But I can make it happen before the Super Bowl is over, counting over/under plays. It'll happen. I was 3-for-5 last weekend. I'm thinking of playing all four home teams this weekend, plus the over in New England ... we'll see.
